The Standard Range Knob
Machined 304 Stainless Steel — Set of 4
Solid. Precise. Built to last decades.
These are not coated, hollow, or cast. Each knob is CNC-machined from solid 304 stainless steel — delivering a substantial weight, precise feel, and durability that standard knobs simply don’t match.

You’ll Notice It Immediately
The difference isn’t subtle. The weight, the grip, the way it turns — everything feels deliberate.
Cold, solid metal in hand. No flex. No rattle. No looseness. The ridged grip gives you confident control without being aggressive — even with wet or greasy hands.
Most factory knobs are plastic or thin metal shells. They wobble, discolor, and degrade under heat. This replaces all of that with a single-piece, machined construction designed for real daily use.

Why We Built This
Most hardware is built to hit a price point — not to last.
We started Potomac Standard to build hardware the way it should be made: from solid material, with precision machining, and a focus on how it actually feels to use every day.
Inspired by custom knives and high-end watches — where weight, finish, and tolerances matter.

Because they are machined from solid 304 stainless steel — not cast, stamped, or coated. Every knob is a single piece of bar stock, CNC machined to precise tolerances. The material, process, and quality are fundamentally different from what’s on the shelf at big-box stores.
The Standard Range Knob fits standard circular and D-shaft posts up to 7mm in diameter. This covers the vast majority of residential ranges. If you’re unsure, measure your existing shaft or contact us with your stove model.
Yes. Each knob is a single piece of solid 304 stainless steel. There’s no shell, no hollow core, no rattle. You’ll feel the difference the moment you pick one up.
304 stainless steel is the same grade used in kitchen sinks, cookware, and food processing equipment. Under normal household conditions, these knobs will not rust.
In normal use the knobs stay comfortable to the touch. Extended exposure to very high heat from an adjacent burner may warm them — consistent with any solid metal hardware.
